As a great visionary and charismatic formator, Bro. Alfons understood the need for practical treating in our apostolate of Hospitality. He planned a home for the aged to accommodate 30 persons. On 18th January 1983 the foundation stone was blessed by His Grace Rayappa Arulappa, Archbishop of Madras -Mylapore.

The Construction of the present St. Thomas home for aged was started in April 1997. It was blessed and inaugurated in January 1999, together with the Provincial House.
