Anaesthesiology

The Anaesthesiology Unit of St. John’s Hospital is equipped with state-of-the-art Anaesthesia Workstation for skillful administration of modern anaesthetic for all types of surgical procedures.

The Department of Anesthesiology and Critical Care Medicine offers consultation to referring physicians in all areas of anaesthesia and critical care as well as chronic and acute pain management.

There are 8 Operation Theatres manned by 2 qualified Anaesthesiologists and a team of trained anaesthesia technicians. Operation Theatres have the latest anaesthesia equipments and multi parameter monitoring machines, attached post operative ICUs providing Ventilatory care. Obstetric, post operative and palliative analgesia provided.

<li>8 major and three minor centrally air conditioned operating rooms equipped with latest anaesthesia machines, multi channel monitors, ventilators and accessories.</li>
<li>More than 11500 surgical procedures are carried out every year including Neurosurgeries.</li>
<li>The post operative recovery has a bed strength of 15 equipped with multiparameter monitors and ICU Ventilators and experienced staff</li>
<li>12 bedded state of the art Medical ICU, 3 bedded neuro surgical ICU, 8 bedded <span class="Apple-style-span">surgical ICU.</span></li>
<li>Provides ancillary critical care management for specialty ICUs</li>
